James Van Der Beek 2
I feel a little sorry for James Van Der Beek. All his “Dawson’s Creek” co-stars have moved on to bigger and better things and his career seems to have stalled. I’ll admit he’s not the world’s best actor, but if nothing else he does have leading-man looks. I would think he could do better then a guest spot on “One Tree Hill” or straight to DVD horror flicks. At this rate he’ll be battling giant CGI gophers on the SciFi Channel in no time. These caps are from the movie “Standing Still” which provided plenty of shirtless action from James (who looks like he has the potential to get a little beefy) as well as Colin Hanks, Adam Garcia and Aaron Stanford. If this movie proved one thing it’s that James looks really good in a cowboy hat. It makes his head look, you know, human-sized.

I’ve never been a fan of him. His face tends to remind me of an annoying ex.
I’ve always lusted after the sexy Mr. Van Der Beek. Always wished that “Dawson” was the gay one; and that he & “Pacy” were getting it on.
James Van Der Beek and I stood shoulder-to-shoulder at Sunstone Winery a few years back. I was with a friend; Van Der Beek had a blond chick in tow. He had grown his hair out to his shoulders and was unshaven. I didn’t recognize him immediately because I was admiring his beard and fantastic curly locks. Then I recognized his face. I discreetly moved to the other side of my friend so he would be between me and Van Der Beek. The viewing angle was better and easier on my neck, and the distance ensured that I didn’t scare the guy away. For me, the guy looks much better long-haired and bearded.
Wow, when this this boy become a man? Can’t wait to see him in 10 years, because you know the best is yet to come!
I can’t agree with you more Psi. James was the lead for goodness sake but in terms of star ratings, he’s like dead last. Even sadder since I had the biggest crush on Dawson back then. That said, I don’t care how shitty his next films are going to be, as long as he takes it off for us (and keeps the cowboy hat on too).

I’m still amazed that of the four of them it’s Michelle Williams who has the most prestige, even if mostly that of reflected tragedy. (Did she get a BSA nom for Brokeback? She did, right? I just watched that yesterday again and never really got that her character was a lot darker than Anne Hathaway’s character until now.) Katie Holmes did some good work but then she was impregnated with a Brood Egg; she’s got her work cut out for her, pardon the pun. Josh Jackson was treading water a bit for a while. But yeah, poor old Dawson.

Aha! Thanks for reminding me about “The Boy in the Box”. Jon Hamm, Josh Lucas and James VD Beek should all be shirtless in a scene (or in a box). I’ll spontaneously burst into flames but that’s okay.
He looks like a kid brother to Jason Statham…Adorable lookin dude…Yeah, I agree with Sqaure bout the cowboy hat.. ..makes me wanna RODEO and RIDE’em….Yaaa-hooo!!!(slapping my chaps and stopmpin my boots).
James is ruggedly handsome, but it is the very hairy arms and those super hairy legs that excite me.
I was just watching him in “rules of attraction”. He’s not my usual type, but damn I can’t deny he is a little babe. I would’nt mind spending Sunday morning curled up with him!
