Were The World Mine

Were The World Mine

Besides “Milk“, another movie that perfectly suits the recent devastating pass of Prop 8 in California is “Were The World Mine”. It stars two very cute newcomers; Tanner Cohen and Nathaniel David Becker. No doubt there’s plenty of skin scenes throughout but I’m confident the story alone will draw you to this amazing film. Here’s a quick summary:

Timothy (Cohen), prone to escaping his dismal high school reality through dazzling musical daydreams, gets to answer that question in a very real way. After his eccentric teacher casts him as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, he stumbles upon a recipe hidden within the script to create the play’s magical, purple love-pansy. Armed with the pansy, Timothy’s fading spirit soars as he puckishly imposes a new reality by turning much of his narrow-minded town gay, beginning with the rugby- jock of his dreams (Becker).

Narrow minded town? Sounds SO familiar! That being said, can someone please tell me where can I get that purple pansy? I have a few people in mind I wanted to squirt to. The love potion that is. You so nasty.

“Were The World Mine” has been played in numerous film festivals in the US and around the world, and will officially open in theaters November 17th. Go to the official website for more information and watch the trailer.
