Desmond Harrington in Love Object
You’ve seen him as Jack Bass, Chuck’s super sexy uncle in ”Gossip Girl” which automatically made Desmond Harrington the most doable guy in the show. Desmond is not a popular choice for lust material as say, Penn Badgley but he is one truly hot and heavily underrated actor. Big part of his charms I think lies in his pissed off, smoldering looks. He looked pissed off even when he smiles, which is kinda sexy in a way. It’s a pity that Hollywood didn’t make full use of Desmond’s flesh but for the mean time, I’ve made you these shirtless(ish) caps of Mr. Harrington from a little known film, “Love Object”. It’s like “Lars and The Real Girl”, but with a triple dose of crazy. You would think that the character would require Desmond to be shirtless a lot but no thanks to arty crappy camera angles, we only get a teeny tiny peek at his furry chest. He will be starring in a lead role in two romantic films, “TiMER” and “Not Since You”. There better be a shirtless scene in both or else!

I was enjoying this hottie this past fall in the 3rd season of Dexter (on Showtime). The epsiodes are still available from on-Demand or on iTunes.
There sure are a lot of furry guys on this show, perhaps I need to start watching.

I first saw him in that hot mess named “Wrong Turn” (something about cannibals in the forest WTF) anyway I was SO disappointed that he had his shirt on ALL the time… nice to finally (kinda) see what’s under the clothes!

Hmm… I think I watched Wrong Turn halfway before. I can’t recall much, but that film was a real mess. I guess Desmond didn’t get the memo. Hairy chests are IN. Time to show that fur off!
One of my favorite (semi-) obscure actors in one of my favorite cult films! DH is really cute, and I totally agree about the pissed-off look. However, if you watch the DVD commentary, he doesn’t sound pissed off at all. He’s funny and charming.
I love watching him and Michael C. Hall in Dexter. Great actors.
Nduuude, I saw him in this movie called “The Hole” when I was a kid and thought he was smoking. Nothing’s changed, he’s still one mighty fine specimen of man.
Come to think of it, if Tom Cruise was young, sane and far more attractive… he’d totally be Desmond Harrington.

Desmond Harrington is great on “Dexter”. I’m glad he wasn’t killed off or sent away; maybe he’ll be back for season 4. He looks like a really tough guy (The way he tackled that slicer ) and comes across as very manly and strong. The fact that he’s handsome, too, certainly adds to his appeal.
Such a big fan of Desmond Harrington – he is truly underrated! As handsome/pretty as he is as with other actors, he is not just eye candy – the guy can actually act. It amazes me, and if u watch more things with him in it – that he always manages to look completely different in almost all his movies…sometimes I hardly recognize him.
I’m glad more people are taking notice of him, the guy needs more exposure thats for sure. I hope he comes back for S4 Dexter – really curious about Quinn’s backdrop…they never really resolved that. I hope to see more projects w/ Desmond in it.

HOOOOO LORDY! I am such a big Desmond fan and seeing that he has chest hair was THE most pleasant surprise I could have hoped for. Great pics! He truly is sexy in Dexter. I discovered him in his breakout role in The Messenger: The Joan of Arc Story. He was amazing and totally cute! Ghost Ship was also awesome. When he acts like a bad-ass in that, I totally melted. I see what you mean about him looking pissed-off, he’s kinda like Clint Eastwood like that – eternally tough-looking. Des has a killer smile, though. Thanks again for the awesome pics and blurb!
