He’s cute, adorkable (I’m not saying that because he has a cute pair of glasses on) and has the perfect laddish voice any twenty something Brit can ever have. And he plays on my team as well! Meet fresh faced Russell Tovey from across the pond who stars in BBC’s new series “Being Human”. It’s like “True Blood” with some ghost, werewolf and comedy thrown in. The nudity level is pretty much the same, fortunately. Each episode we get to see this meatpie running around with his hand on the family jewels. Now that’s a TV show worth my time.

If Russell is too dry for your taste, we also have Aidan Turner (not that Aiden Turner) who appropriately played a vampire. Hold up. Where do all these hairy vampires come from? When I was a child I thought there’s no such thing as a fuzzy bloodsucker. The hairy ones always turned out to be werewolves. In contrast, Russell is so smooth that they have to apply fake chest hair on him. Imagine that! That said, kudos to the casting director for making this a perfectly balanced out, good television, follicle-wise of course.

he looks like a younger, nerdier version of Joshua Jackson (Pacey, from Dawson’s Creek). that’s not a complaint, he’s very cute and he seems to be allergic to clothes, which is just fine haha =D

I adore Russel. I met him while he was doing HISTORY BOYS on Broadway.
He is playing a nerd on that TV show, but he’s really a hot Stud muffin with a wacky sense of Humor.
At Broadway BARES he found a pair of Lame trunks and jumped on the stage for the GOGO rotations gathering bucks in his shorts for a good cause.

i’ve started watching this show since this post came up. and, if you’re into the whole mythical, werewolf/vampire/ghost-world meets the real world, you might like the show. i find the writing nicely done, it’s not over the top and the story is interesting. just thought i’d share.

oh, and guys who look aidan turner doesn’t normally do anything for me, but … after watching the show, i can say that i’m not going to be so quick to dismiss long haired dudes. =P

Since I live in America, I get all the British shows I’m interested in via BitTorrent, rather than waiting for PBS or BBC America or Syfy to pick them up. Being Human was superb, the 2nd series (season) starts at the end of January. He’s supposed to be in the final two David Tennant Doctor Who episodes as well, as Midshipman Frame.

Russell is one of my very favorite lust objects. You can tell from the pictures, comparing the set by the clothes line up top and the blue ones at the bottom that he’s worked out a bit. He’s not overdone it and become too muscle-y, just right for me. Add a bit of chest hair, the cute face and those great ears, I can’t wait for the new series of Being Human to start.

I agree with all you guys – Russell is just beautiful.

I LOVE the way he uses his face in closeups… his emotions are just so believable.

Loooooveeee him!!! He caught my eye on the movie History Boys and was pretty happy he’s in Being Human which I hoped will have like 10 seasons. In an interview he said he usually works out if there is a topless scene. And sorry to burst your bubble but this awsome guy has a steady partner *sigh*
