Jake Gyllenhaal Shirtless in Prince of Persia

A lot of people are going to love me for posting these shirtless publicity stills of Jake Gyllenhaal from “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”, and a lot of people are going to dislike me when I say he does very little to me when I look at these pictures. I think it’s the hair. Now let’s not discuss my peculiar taste, shall we?

If it wasn’t for that hair he’d be absolutely perfect. I don’t even mind that they trimmed his chest hair. Better than having it completely shaved off.

I reeeeeeally like Jake, and I’m still going to see Prince of Persia just because he’s in it…

…But even I have to admit that that hairstyle is not right for him. Or pretty much anyone.

He actually grew his hair for that role, I read somewhere. I saw some pap shots of him off the set and he still had the hair. I don’t think I’d be seen in public with it but I sure as wouldn’t mind being seen in public with him. Even with the hair, I’d still put him on my arm.

really? i think his hair here is fine, looks kinda hot actually. they’re trying to stay as true to the game’s character as possible, and i think that’s fair.

pretty much all of what i was thinking was said by other people. jake + scruff + hot body + chest scruff = holy crap wawnt. (that is not a typo: WAWNT)

and the hair doesn’t look TOO bad, and i don’t really like long hair… at all. but c’mon, it’s JAKE! i’ll still watch it just for him. <3

WELL!!!! It seems a whole lot of us absolutely loved the Jake. I agree with JoeTimbo though. The hair has to go. The rest of the man can stay for a looooonnnnggggg time. Yum. But, yeah, that hair is awful for such a cutie. And that body is awesome.

In some bizarre way, he kind of looks like Tim Roth here. I think it’s the shape of his face with that bit o’ fuzz against the hair. It’s all very Rothesque. (Speaking of which, you definitely need more Tim on this site!)

I am with you on this one though, Square, the hair just does him no justice; it totally changes his face. The bod’s a bit special, though. =)

Based on the type of character he is playing in Prince of Persia, the head
hair is going to be a looooooong way from what some would considered
“stylish”. In the context of the character, the hair is gonna be longish,
semi-messy, and -not- parted on the side or spiked or moussed or
volumized and the part is probably going to be in the center based on
Jake’s head shape. Personally, I think the whole package works as far
as the character goes. And by works I mean Wooooof!

Ugh!!! Major Miscasting!!!! Most of you guys don’t seem to know that Prince of Persia is a computer game and the main character has a very roguish msichievious side. Something this tepid goon, jake, can’t do. Jake can do bland mr nice guy. I agree, these pics do nothing for me!

I really Jake looks better with shorter hair (on his head), but with full length chest hair. On these pics, he has got long hair but has thinned out his chest hair… which is the reverse of what I like!

I watched Jarhead yesterday, and I think Jake looked good, even with the U.S. Marine Corps hair cut.

I especially liked the shower scene, and the Christmas party scene, in Jarhead! If you’ve seen the movie, then you know what I am talking about.
