It just so happens I’ve got a gay movie or two in my queue! Brad Rowe played gay early on in Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss, and oops! he did it again in “Shelter” — scruffy-style as the (slightly) older man Shaun. Trevor Wright plays his younger brother’s best friend — surfin’ skateboardin’ Zach, street artist, star of the show. The thing is, will he come out as he comes of age? I mean, they kiss, they drink red wine, they roll around in the sheets. Both are sporting hairless torsos that can’t be natural but are kinda purdy all the same. But just like life, complications ensue: a sad sister, her neglected son, an art career, a life of love — maybe? — all careen like a skateboarder down a sidewalk.

Will he make a life with his man or not? I ain’t tellin’! Cuz it’s kinda good and you might want to watch it… oxo SB

Oh, SHELTER’s also got some brief minor extras worth a gawk.

I really liked this movie…it wasn’t as good of a love story as “Big Eden” but Trevor Wright portrayal as Zach was quiet and restrained. It hurt to so how little he smiled until he was in his Jeep after realizing he could be happy.
As for the surfer, that is runway model Dominc Figlio who plays Kelly Clarkson’s ex in “Never Again.”

I’ve seen the movie.. I love it .. the guys have such good chemistry together ..and both being so damn hot I just had to watch it 3 more times ;D

OMFG I love this movie, I’ve seen it a dozen times since I bought it, it was so good. Plus the actors are not bad to look at either =P

I have loved Rowe since “Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss.” One of the sexiest actors out there.

I love this movie … not perfect, but what makes it work is the chemistry between the actors, and the performances. Trevor Wright is amazing in it. What the pictures can’t capture is his sexy smoky voice and HOT SoCal drawl. And when they’re getting reacquainted at the beginning, they’re both pretty adorably dorky, too.

I just watched this movie and i just wished Trevor Wright is gay in real life… But, even so, he can never be mine.. lol!

OMG a truly great gay themed movie where true love can overcome any obstacle. I TRULY LOVED THIS FILM. Please make more like it. It was touching, sensitive and romantic all in one.

Shelter is, without a doubt, my favorite gay movie. Sweet and lovely. I daydream about Shaun.
Isn’t it crazy that Brad Rowe is 40? btw, SB, thanks for the ‘fur in a blur’ pic. very nice to see some Brad hair.
