Hmm, I would like to see Liev in a painted veil, but we’ll have to make do. He’s not the most generous with his shirtlessness, but when that shirt does come off — look out! He’s muscly without being steroidy, he’s hairy without being, well, not hairy. This movie’s not bad, a bit slow — a period drama with a capital D, based on a Somerset Maugham story. And our supporting actor Liev is having a one-afternoon-stand with Naomi Watts’ character, the fickle wife of milquetoasty scientist played by Ed Norton (in one of his slimmed-down slightly-soft incarnations).

IMHO, Liev is not handsome, but he is the absolute apex of ugly-but-attractive. He makes that face WORK! And the voice… well, ’nuff said.

Yes!!! Thank you for posting Liev Schreiber. I know he’s not the typical hunk but I like his presence, his eyes and definitely LOVE his voice, I really think it’s the most beautiful male voice I’ve ever heard.

And I think he’s actually generous when it comes to nudity, you just have to check some of his other films: A Walk on The Moon (that also features a very shirtless Viggo Mortensen) and Denise Calls Up (there’s a Liev’s full frontal, if I’m not wrong).

For whatever reason, his voice is definitely more than illict, or should be…I want him. I’d definitely had a hard-on for Liev, if that were physically possible, for quite some time. We need a better word for that, for us chicks.

As you might imagine, I went a-searchin’ for the aforementioned full-frontals. But to my dismay, I found that the two sites which track nekkidness in movies note that lovely Levi has a phone (ouch) over his good bits in Denise Calls Up (which seemed to be only available in VHS or non-US dvd formats). I did find one very blurred photo claiming to be him — exposed — but there was no real tellin’ — so bad the quality. If I find something, I’ll put a link here or in the Forum; promise you’ll do the same… ! oxo SB

Yes, @squarebart you beat me to it; you’re quite right that Liev in Denise Calls Up is discretely covered by a phone. But I’m pretty sure that that is still positively his best skin scene in any movie he’s been in.

For one thing, he’s got his right hand behind his head, so if you’re an armpit as well as a chest-hair fan, you’ve got both . His biceps are well-defined in that scene (though not huge by today’s standards).

For another thing, it’s just a very very hot scene. He’s having phone sex, and he has such a hot deep voice. It’s enough to make one weak at the knees. *sigh*

@square I really encourage you to troll for the Denise Calls Up pix. Oddly enough the best ones I found were on a Russian site: http://www.liveinternet.ru/showjournal.php?journalid=1624544&tagid=501129 about two-thirds of the way down the page.

@Squarebart…oops, I didn’t remember he was covered by a phone in Denise Calls Up. My bad then.

But I distinctly remember seeing him naked somewhere. I remember I saw two reveavling pictures (that one from Denise Calls Up) and another one where he’s in a pool (on a float, and naked). The picture was blurry but I wish I could find the link anyway — someone posted one (on IMDb’s boards) for Daniel Craig’s naked scenes, on the same site where I found his pictures, there were from many other celebrities, including these two pictures of Liev I saw.

@Justin, thank you for that link. He’s not exactly naked but those close-ups of his mouth look really really sexy.

Ugly? Not handsome? . . . I definitely counter with my vote.

I’ve had a hard-on for Liev Schreiber for ever. I do find him handsome, sexy, and hunky. He’s a nice, normal, masculine, man.

I get really excited when he pops up on TV and the movie screen. I look forward to seeing more of him.
