   i take your word for it. could have fooled me. the most recent
   highly publicized female to male makeover is of course Chastity to
   Chaz Bono. in Bono’s case i saw a recent photo on the net of
   Bono who is now completely Chaz. on the other side Bono still
   looks like a butch version of Chastity. so whichever doctors were
   in charge of BB’s makeover they did a damn good job.

   I have to correct you. You still have no pics of a woman on your site. The pics of Bear Grylls are post surgery so he is a he. Also, I think most transgender people use the pronouns associated with the gender they are living as and not as they were born.

   Okay, so my first snarky reaction was that this only proves my point that you can make just about anyone look like a smooth, muscled cute boy, but big hairy masculine men are born, not made.

   But then, Balian looks so happy, comfortable and sexy in his skin that I got to thinking this man is really hot. This is a manliness that is harder won and better worn than I’ve seen in a long while. Good for him. I hope he uses it better than some that were born with it.

    For gay men, some of you are so ignorant about transgendered people, who are a part of our glbt community. Get educated! I’ve seen and known several FtoM transgendered people and believe me, they can become quite the hunks. And yes, Jay, there are transgendered men who are hirsute/hry. Mark, he may very well have one.

    I think you’re right, eagander, in that transgender folk are often misunderstood within the very community that bears their initial, as in “lgbTq,” which is sometimes more difficult for them to bear than from the straight world. I think most of the guys here were simply reacting to Balian the way do to all photos on this site…on our own personal hotness scales.

    By the way, my transgender friends tell me that “trangendered” with an “-ed” isn’t as acceptable as simply “transgender,” because the “-ed” implies that this is something that is done to them, as opposed to part of who they are and how they identify themselves. There’s definitely a big learning curve here, but I’m up for the challenge because of my friends.
