Here Are Some Skin (Tones)

This is part of a series of portraits by photographer Angelica Dass who colour matched human beings according to their skin tones. It’s a bit like “Black or White” but with colour. That’s great and all, but what’s even more exciting is I get to drool at REAL people and not getting that “you’re a big perv” look. The complete set is at her Tumblr, but here are some of my favourites. Which ones are yours? I’ve yet to see tangerine but that’s not a problem because all Angelica has to do is set her foot in Hollywood and photograph the first person she met.

Hmmm….. Interesting… I’m not quite sure what I expected when I clicked on this, but I’m a little confused… Shouldn’t there be more chest-area showing?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for posting this. I really hope your audience will take a look at the overall photography, and ideology behind it, and appreciate it, and all the work that went into it, for what it is: we are ALL a Pantone swatch!

    Brilliant! Thank you for posting.
I’m a photographer, and really would have never seen this.
It’s not getting coverage on photo blogs et al.

ibernard, I am with you. I really do wish folks would look at the over all image and message..

But.. This is not Art School. This is a Softcore website.
Most browsers will look, not see anything sexy and move right along.

Personally, I think this whole project rocked out loud and deserves a lot more exposure. Just not sure a beefcake website is going to get the target audience. lol
