Waiter, can I have one big plate of Kyle Schmid please? We should file him under ~~“Breakfast”~~ “Why isn’t he famous yet?”. I think this is largely due to the fact that we already have one Jared Padalecki around but who cares? Besides, Kyle Schmid is like Jared’s evil twin and we need at least 2 dozen or more Jared Padaleckis in this world. It’s hard to write about this one without putting my crazy fangirl cap on. I only saw Kyle in “The Covenant” and “The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants” so I can’t really comment much about his acting skills. Don’t worry, his brooding good looks will surely override his lack of talent, if any.

These shirtless pictures of Kyle Schmid are from Canadian version of Buffy, “Blood Ties” on Lifetime and the film “Zerophilia”, the one with Taylor Handley in it. That reminds me to watch that sexy mess later. Kyle was recently seen in “Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead” which I haven’t seen yet. I wish he reenacts that Paul Walker / Steve Zahn diner scene with Nick Zano, only this time from the front. Is that too much to ask?

I actually watched a few episodes of “Blodd Ties”. Besides the fact they cast a women about 15 years older than him to play his love interest, it wasn’t half bad….of course, Kyle being half naked probably helped him out a bit.

I have a thing for curly headed guys, so he’s definitely a keeper. If he had red hair, I would have already melted into a pile of drool…….

I’ve been in lust over Kyle for quite a while now, and it amazes me that people still don’t know who he is. He’s amazing, and totally deserves the recognition that Jared Padalecki (whom is another fantastic version of hotness) seems to be getting.

I’ve loved Kyle Schmid for well over 3 yrs. now. He is by far the sexiest man alive and for the record Kyle is a GREAT actor. It looks like the person that wrote this article needs to watch more Kyle Schmid. As for Jared Padalecki i love him but i love Kyle so much more. Kyle is his own man and doesn’t need to be compared to Jared. Kyle’s many fans know he will be a star very soon and then the naysayers may get the idea. Thanks for all the great pics of Kyle. I just wish you had been a little nicer to Kyle in your article. He is a super nice man that really appreciates his fans. I love Kyle Schmid.

I appreciate your posting all the great pix of Kyle. And you’re right in the respect that he is a yummy man. However, when you criticized his acting, you did so without having much to go on. Five minutes in the Covenant and Five Minutes in Sisterhood was not enough to judge anyone’s acting ability. Kyle is one of the finest actors of his generation. He’s also a very nice, very kind, personable man, who doesn’t deserve that kind of criticism. If you took the time to watch one episode of Blood Ties you’d have seen what an exceptional actor he is. He made everyone believe he was a 450 year old vampire. And his “death scene” in Joyride 2 and the torture leading up to it was heartwrenching. Kyle did an exceptional job, as always.

kyle is a great actor! i think he is really fantastic. it’s not just his looks, he is really a great actor and has new movies coming up. he is hard at work, so enuff directors and casting depts. must thing he has more that a sexy chest and beautiful hair and eyes! keep an eye on him, he is going to be a big star!

What excellent pictures of Kyle! Drooling aside…Kyle is indeed an excellent actor. And he has an excellent Yahoogroup as well. Plus a great website created about him by Kady, I think, who posted earlier. Thank you for the nice write-up, though.

Kyle Schmid is the finest actor of his generation. I’ve seen everything he has done and he is totally phenomenal. He is not only gorgeous but he is beautiful inside too. You haven’t really seen enough of his work to be a fair judge and if you would take the time to watch Blood Ties and his newest…Joyride 2 Dead Ahead you would understand just how great he is. Yes, Jared is good looking but I’ll take Kyle over him any day. These are wonderful pictures of him and thank you for posting them. Also thank you for the article.

For the record, children, when Tanya Huff wrote the “Blood” series, she had Kenneth Brannagh in mind as the model for Henry Fitzroy.

Kyle Schmidt is an okay actor who has had the very good luck of being surrounded by very good actors. Fixating on him like he’s the next Olivier because he played a vampire is… well… Really, really juvenile…

I’m not a child and i was a Kyle Schmid fan long before he played a vampire. Tanya was very pleased with Kyle’s acting as Henry and also Henry died when he was 17 yrs. old it would look pretty silly for an older person to play a vampire that died when he was 17 yrs. old. Tanya made the right choice. You don’t even know how to spell Kyle’s last name so evidently you don’t know anything about his acting. You really shouldn’t call ppl. juvenile when you don’t even know how old they are. You obviously aren’t a nice person Karma and if anything i’d say you’re the one that needs to grow up.

Right on Susan! Kyle is a beautiful person inside and out. He deserves accolades, not to be cut down. He’s intelligent, is a brilliant young actor whose star is on the rise. It is only a matter of time before he is the biggest thing in Hollywood! He is going to be sought after by every acting agency imaginable. It’s only a matter of time until he gets that one role that pushes him over the edge. And I will certainly be happy to say, “I liked Kyle before he became a star.” He certainly has star quality, but he has something more. He has “it” — that certain something that makes the camera love you, the fans love you, and the movie critics love you, and the Hollywood movers and shakers love you. Kyle certainly has it in abundance!

Saying that Kyle is merely a good actor before you’ve bothered to research anything other than his role in Blood Ties is incredibly shortsighted and elitest on your part. Kenneth Brannagh in NO way shape or form would have made a good Henry considering as everyone has told you, Henry was 17 when he died. Why don’t you try watching some of Kyle’s other work before you pass judgement: He recently finished The Thaw with Val Kilmer, Aaron Ashmore and others, etc. He has an extensive body of work, go to IMDB and check out the work he’s done, watch some of it. Regardless of opinions like yours he will be famous because he does have that “it” factor. He’s not just a pretty face in Hollywood; he is truly a nice guy as those of us who have met him can attest to, and he’s a great actor.

As for you calling those of us who like Kyle juvenile, well that’s rather childish on your part.

Thank you for the nice write-up about Kyle.
I really enjoyed his performance in Blood Ties, and most recently he was a guest star on Smallville and he’s also been on CSI: MIami.
I hope to see him in many more movies and TV episodes.

And if he takes off his shirt on occasion, I won’t mind too much

have just watched couple of episodes of blood ties and was really impressed with kyle not just for his looks, but they certainly made it more interesting lol seriously though it was great to learn abit more about him and the other parts he has played this has been a great page to look at thanx very much is there more than one series of blood ties?

@ Weez, unfortunately there is only one season of BT, as the network on which it originally aired decided not to re-new it. (Some fans are sure they’re kicking themselves now, esp. with the renewed popularity of the vamp. genre).

Kyle is a dynamic actor. True he has yet to be on the scale of say, Depp or Pitt (to name a few), but from what I (and many other fans) have seen he is certainly on his way. He has proven his command of range: From a shy, almost reticent character in “Sisterhood”, to a vile bully in “Covenant “& ” History…Violence” to a deep yet dynamic vampire in “Blood Ties”.

And the fact too that he is open to evolving his acting range ( e.g.: he hopes to do theatre in London), shows that he takes his acting and his talent seriously. He is not content to get by on looks alone.

As per his personality. I myself have yet to meet him, but for the fans that have, there’s been nothing but good things said.
He’s a nice guy, was raised well by all accounts… (and too, as a some of us Canuk’s (Canadians’) like to say, “Nice is in our DNA”. LOL)

Kyle is a great actor, I have been a fan for a long time now.
I believe he is going to be big in near future.
I also know that a person should’nt judge an actor just after
seeing one or two movies their in.
I have seen almost every show and movie he has been in.
And I hope one day I will have a chance to meet him.

Hi everybody, I must say that I’ve been a fan of Kyle Schmid for only a few weeks (ever since i bought BLOOD TIES Seasons 1+2 on DVD) and I must say, I was very impressed with his performance. OK, he’s absolutely gorgeous, lol, but once you get over that and the heat goes down do normal again, you must see how good an actor he is. I was wondering why I haven’t heard of him before. I’m a big Smallville fan and I suddenly remembered seeing him in one (or few, don’t remember exactly). I did some research on the guy (IMDB etc) and he seems to be doing fine so far. I’m pretty sure he’s going to be a big star one day.
And for us ladys, despite the fact that we love to see his acting performance, seeing him shirtless from time to time would be even better
