This just in: Penn Badgley is (unsurprisingly) still hairless and looks like a prepubescent 12 year old boy. Apparently he didn’t get the memo. I mean, COME ON. Would it be too difficult to put down the shaver and go with the flow? I’m so mad at this. We gotta have a new category named “shameless shavers” because there are too many around! These are from this week’s episode of “Gossip Girl” capped by Groopii and if you need some remedy for your sore eyes, this might help.

Isn’t he supposed to be playing a young person? Quite aside from the fact that most of them are fairly hairless to begin with, it *is* the fashion of the day to be shaved to within an inch of one’s life. Whether one agrees with it or not, topiary is clearly very popular.

It’s just the American standard. Hairless chests are what the people want, and it’s what they all strive for. Try finding a cover of Men’s Health with a rugged chest.

Aw, cmon, Josh “The American Standard”? It’s just a look some folks like better, but it’s hardly THE standard. (And every once in a while, even Men’s Health does put chest-hair on the cover.)

Some actors seem to feel compelled for some reason to shave, but for those actors who don’t shave, I swear it’s twice as likely for their producers to find any excuse for them to show skin (think Chris Evans): chest-hair is still sexy, and producers know it.

@Stuart — I don’t think Penn’s character is supposed to be THAT young — according to his character’s wiki article, he’s in college. Personally, I didn’t get chest-hair until I was like 21, but our friend Josh here was already an incredible furball at 19 and has the videos to prove it ;-).

Wow, another “I WANT HAIRY CHESTS” post. It’s getting a wee bit tiresome. I’m versatile - hairy chests are good on the right guy, vice versa. Penn is naturally hairy (which looks good on him), but he plays an 18 year old freshman in college. I don’t think it’s a complete stretch he’s a bit clean hairless. However, it’s weird how he’s shaved here yet in scenes of the recent season of GG, you clearly can see chest hair sticking out of his collar. If a hairless Penn is not your cuppa tea, then skip The Stepfather. He’s shirtless in that and rather bare up there.

I agree with pickle, in that I’m versitle,too. But i gotta admit, I’d love to see Penn’s cheast unshaved, but,by the same token, I wouldn’t kick him out of bed for being hairless.
By the way, Ive seen a picture of Penn near the age of 12, & believe me, he looks NOTHING like a 12 yr.old boy, currently.

@Pickle — nothing wrong with versatility, but if Square prefers hairy men, he’s allowed to run his blog that way.

Sure if I had a *chance* in a billion years at getting some guy like Penn (without having to pay for it, which — so far — I’ve not resorted to), I’d take him, even shaven. But you’re going to have to live with the fact that this is a shirtless men’s blog with STRONG chest-hair leanings :-). And I like it that way, myself :-).

I read an article where the producers require him to shave his chest. Something about the demographic audience they aim the show at finding chest hair threatening. If you see photos of Penn when he’s not shooting the show, he lets his chest hair grow out.

Don’t have facts or figures…but Penn Badley is f***ing hot no matter how his chest looks. I don’t think guys ought to shave their chests really, but uh…he looks damn good anyway. I’d do him no questions asked lol.

They make him shave it. I remember in an interview he said he’s jealous of Ed Westwick’s chest hair becaused he’s the only one that’s allowed to have some.
