Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Not much news to report, Jerry Fans; no recent news or photos, but there is a new video.

He tied for 27th at the Farmers Open (after all the weather/fog delays). He did not play in the Phoenix Open. He missed the cut at the Pro-Am in Pebble Beach, but he was playing with Andy Roddick and Aaron Rodgers for the first 3 days so we got a couple glimpses of him in the BG. He tied for 38th at the Northern Trust (this past weekend) but all they showed was his birdie on the 16th in the 2nd round:

http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard/vide … 08075.html

He's not in the field for the Accenture Match-Play this week, but I'm sure we'll see him at the Honda Classic next week.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

On the occasion of our 49,000th hit (more than 2000 in the last month) I feel I need to post SOMETHING.

Jerry did not get any air time in the first two rounds of the Honda Classic, and he missed the cut so he did not play the weekend. We didn't get to see him at all. It's a shame, really. Just two years ago he was playing really well, made it into the final group, got lots of air time, and came in solo third. Rory Sabbatini was playing really well and just couldn't be caught. Of course, Rory missed the cut this year, too, so what goes around comes around. It's a little like PROJECT RUNWAY: one day you're in, and the next day you're out, except that in golf, the next day you could be right back in again, so don't lose hope, Jerry fans.

He's not playing in The World Golf Championship this week, but he is playing in the Puerto Rico Open. It won't be broadcast live, though. There will be two hours of coverage on Thursday and Friday, and three hours of coverage on Saturday and Sunday. Cross your fingers.

UPDATE, Friday 3/6: Jerry didn't get any air time or make the cut for the weekend, but he's in the field for the Tampa Bay Championship next week. Hang in there, Jerry fans.

Here's a couple new photos I found from 2010:

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Hi, Jerry fans. Not much news to report today, and no new photos to post, but we've reached another milestone (50,000 hits!!) so here's an update.

Jerry held his own at the Tampa Bay Championship last weekend. He made the cut and played the weekend. At one point he was only 3 shots behind the leaders, but they only showed his birdie on 16 in the first round:

http://www.pgatour.com/content/pgatour/ … -tampa-bay

He's in the top 100 in FedEx points, though, so keep the faith.

At the moment, he's 3rd alternate for the Arnold Palmer Invitational this weekend, so unless three people drop out between now and Thursday, we won't see him there either. They haven't posted the fields for any other tournaments yet but I'll update this post as soon as I have any news.

Thanks for tuning in!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

The Shell Houston Open is on The Golf Channel from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday and Friday. Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 2:10 so he'll probably only be on the 6th or 7th hole. He has an early tee time on Friday and will finish before the broadcast begins.

Set those TiVo's and cross your fingers, Jerry fans!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Well, Jerry made the cut and played the weekend, but was too far behind the leaders to get any airtime. They only showed his birdie put on the 9th hole on Thursday. He's in the field for the Valero Texas Open this weekend, though.

WE ARE NOT ALONE! Somebody out there agrees with us! Check out this "10 Most Handsome Golfers in the PGA":

http://youngandyrooney.blogspot.com/201 … rs-on.html

Jerry's comes in 2nd and the author says, "Words can't describe how hot this man is and what I would like to do with him in an empty locker room." You need to read the rest of this post yourself. I dare not quote it here. wink

UPDATE Wednesday 4/3: The Valero Texas open is on The Golf Chanel from 3 to 6 on Thursday and Friday, and 1 to 3 on Saturday and Sunday. It's continued on CBS from 3 to 6 on Saturday and Sunday. Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 9:10, so he'll finish all 18 holes before the broadcast begins, but his tee time on Friday is 2:10 so he will be on the course for most of the broadcast. Set those TiVo's and cross your fingers.

It's worth noting that Stuart Cink who hasn't won since 2009 (like Jerry) was in the final group and almost won the Shell Houston Open last week. Like Jerry, he's missed a lot of cuts in the last 4 years, and has not had very many top 10's or even top 25's, but like I said in an earlier post, one day you can be right back in the thick of things. There's hope!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Hi, Jerry fans. The RBC Heritage is this weekend. It's on The Golf Channel from 3-6 on Thursday and Friday and from 1 to 2:30 on Saturday and Sunday. It's on CBS from 3-6 on Saturday and Sunday.

Jerry's tee time on Thursday is really early so he'll finish all 18 holes before the broadcast even starts, but his tee time on Friday is 12:50 so he'll probably be on the course for the entire broadcast. Last year he not only made the cut and played the weekend, he finished in the top 30, so keep your fingers crossed.

We also passed 53,000 hits sometime last weekend. That's about 100 hits/day for the past couple months. Thanks, Jerry fans! Keep the faith!

UPDATE, Friday afternoon: Jerry made the cut to to play the weekend. I haven't seen today's broadcast yet, but there's 2 videos of his birdies on 5 and 16 (and that irresistible Irish smile):

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

OMG! 5 under par 66 for the round, minus 6 for the tournament, tied for 6th with only 5 people ahead of him. He'll be in the third to the last group tomorrow. They showed highlights and interviewed him after the round! Eye candy alert:

http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard/vide … .2013.html

His birdie on 16 yesterday (video in yesterday's post) was The Golf Channel's "Shot of the Day".

Graeme McDowell is at -7 and Johnson Wagner is at -4. Tomorrow's broadcast could be a real hunk fest. Jerry's in the third to last group with Graeme! I'm all verklempt! My cup runneth over!

Go Jerry!!!!!

UPDATE: LOTS of video highlights from Jerry's final round:

http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard/vide … .2013.html

UPDATE (Sunday night):

Not to shabby, Jerry! Tied for 3rd right up to the final hole, ending in solo 5th. Keep up the good work. You're on your game!!

This photo (and 2 others from the previous post) were from a benefit called "A Salute to Wisconsin's Warriors" in 2012, which raises money to provide services to veterans, their families, and their communities. It's a very worthy cause and I mean absolutely no disrespect, I just thought this photo was really funny!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Heads up, Jerry fans. Jerry's tee time tomorrow at the Zurich Classic is 1:30 (EDT) and the broadcast starts at 3 (on The Golf Channel). Jerry WON this tournament back in 2009 and was solo 5th at the RBC last weekend so he's playing really well.

His tee time on Friday is really early and he'll finish all 18 holes before the broadcast starts. The weekend air times are 1 to 2:30 on The Golf Channel and 3 to 6 on CBS.

http://sports.espn.go.com/photo/2009/0426/golf_g_jerrykelly_200.jpg

I thought I'd made this analogy in a previous post, but I can't find it so here goes...

Being a golf fan, or, in this case, a fan of any particular golfer is a lot like bird-watching. You have to be very patient. You have to put yourself in the right time and the right place and simply be patient. With any luck, you may catch a glimpse of that which you seek. With more luck, more glimpses; and with even more luck, you might even get up close and personal! Most of the time, however, you'll strike out and have to try again another day. My point? The Zurich Classic tomorrow (and hopefully this weekend, too) is putting yourself in the right time and place!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

We saw a little bit of Jerry on Saturday's round. They showed his birdie attempt on the 1st hole and his birdie on 11. We got to see that sweet Irish smile on his par save on 12, too. At that point, he was at -10, only 4 off the lead, with only 5 people in front of him; but the golfing gods are cruel. He would bogie 2 holes on his back nine, and although they showed his birdie attempt at 18, that was the last we saw of him. He bogied 2 holes on the front nine on Sunday and end up at -7, tied for 47th, and got no TV coverage in the final round.

He's in the field again next week, though, at the Wells Fargo Championship. I'll update this post on Wednesday when they post the broadcast and tee times.

http://www1.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Jerry+Kelly+Zurich+Classic+New+Orleans+Final+PxTUP6l13rXl.jpg

UPDATE, Wednesday: The tournament is on The Golf Channel from 3 to 7 on Thursday and Friday, and The Golf Channel from 1 to 2:30 and CBS from 3 to 6 on Saturday and Sunday (EDT). Jerry's tee time on Thursday is really early so he'll finish all 18 holes before the broadcast starts. If he plays well, he might be featured in the "Highlights from Earlier" in the day but that would be all. His tee time on Friday, however, is 1:35, so he will be on the course for almost the entire broadcast. Keep the faith, Jerry fans!

UPDATE, Saturday: Well, Jerry didn't make the cut to play the weekend, but the course looks really hard. A lot of players including Bubba Watson, Padraig Harrington, Ricky Barnes, Johnson Wagner, Bill Haas, and Sean O'Hair didn't make the cut either.

Jerry is in the field for The Players Championship next week, though. Stay tuned.

NOTE: We quietly passed 55,000 hits on Friday. That's almost 100 hits/day for the past 3 or 4 months. Thanks for tuning in, Jerry fans!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Hey there, Jerry fans. The Players Championship is on The Golf Channel from 1 to 7 on Thursday and Friday, and from 2 to 7 on NBC on Saturday and Sunday (EDT). This is a biggie. To qualify for this tournament you have to have won a tournament in the past year, be in the top 30 in FedEx Cup points, be in the top 125 on the previous year's money list (Jerry was 126th), won a major in the last 5 years, etc., etc. Jerry and 10 other players qualified by virtue of their FedEx Cup standings (Jerry is currently 87th) to fill the 144-player field if all of the spots haven't been filled by other criteria. Whew!

Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 7:47 am, so he may be done by 1 pm. Maybe we'll see him finish his round or maybe he'll be featured in highlights from earlier in the day (if he plays well); but he's teeing off at 12:57 on Friday, so he'll just be starting his round as the broadcast begins. He's playing with Aaron Baddeley and Ben Crane so keep a lookout.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Did you see that?!?! Jerry holed the 16th from 218 yards away (for eagle on the most difficult hole on the course) and did a chest bump with Aaron Baddeley. The shot of the day:

http://sports.smashpipe.com/?autoplay=0 … 3G78j0mEsU

They showed him on 17 and 18, too. It's nice to see him smiling and obviously having fun again. He not only made the cut (by 5 shots) he's tied for 20th. A lot of BIG names missed the cut.

His tee time tomorrow is 1 pm and he's playing with Sang-Moon Bae so keep a lookout.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Oh the golfing gods were cruel again. Jerry got all the way to -6 on the 12th hole of the final round, only 5 behind the leaders, but would bogie 14 and 15, and double-bogey 17 (he hit it in the water) to end up at -2, tied for 37th; but still earned $41,800.  They only showed is 2nd shot on 14 on Saturday's broadcast, because that was the hole he eagled on Friday. It's worth noting that Jeff Maggert (at age 49) tied for 2nd place, so there's still hope for the "grizzled veterans". Jerry, Steve Stricker, David Toms, Phil Michelson, Robert Karlson, Angel Cabrera, and VJ Singh are all over 40 and still contending.

He's playing in the HP Byron Nelson Championship this weekend. Stay tuned.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

The Byron Nelson Championship is on The Golf Channel from 3 to 6 (EDT) on Thursday and Friday, and on The Golf Channel from 1 to 2:30 and CBS from 3 to 6 on Saturday and Sunday.

Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 1:30. He's playing with Bryce Molder and Tommy Gainey so keep a lookout. His tee time on Friday is 8:30 so he may be on the 18th hole when the broadcast begins, but is likely to finish all 18 holes before then.

We passed 56,000 hits the other day! smile

UPDATE, Sunday 5/19:

What a roller coaster. In round 1, Jerry got to -3 through 13, but dropped 2 shots to end at -1. In round 2, Jerry got 3 birdies on the front 9, and dropped 3 shots on the back nine. In round 3, he would get 4 birdies on his back nine to get to -5. In round 4, he birdied the 2nd hole to get to -6, but bogeyed the 3rd. Although he birdied the hardest hole on the course (18) he dropped 2 shots to end at -3, tied for 21st, projected 71st in FedEx Cup points. Not too bad, but not enough to get any TV coverage (except for a shot of his butt when they showed his playing partner's bogie on 3).

He's not in the field for the Crown Plaza Invitational next week, even though players in the top 80 in FedEx Cup points qualify, so it must be his own decision to take a week off.

I'll update this post as soon as I know what his next tournament will be.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

On the occasion of our 58,000th hit, I'm pleased to announce that Jerry will be playing in the FedEx St. Jude Classic this weekend. It's on The Golf Channel from 3 to 6 (EDT) on Thursday and Friday. It's on The Golf Channel from 1 to 2:30 and CBS from 3 to 6 on Saturday and Sunday. As soon as the tee times are posted, I'll update this post.

UPDATE (Tuesday night): Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 8:30 (EDT) so he'll be done before the broadcast starts, but his tee time on Friday is 1:30 so keep your fingers crossed! He's playing with Brian Gay and Freddie Jacobson so keep a lookout.

UPDATE (Friday night): Jerry shot a respectable 1 under 69 on Thursday and a 1 over 71 today. He was on the course for the entire broadcast, including 10 of the additional 15 minutes of coverage on The Golf Channel. (They continued the coverage until 6:15 so they could show Phil Michelson finishing the 18th hole.) They showed lots of people under Jerry's score, lots of people over Jerry's score, and lots of people hovering around the cut line (which ended up at +1) but not a single shot of Jerry. sad

The good news, I suppose, is that he did make the cut so he'll play the weekend, make a little money, and some more FedEx points; but he's pretty far behind the leaders so he's may not get any air time unless he plays really well. His tee time is 9:30, so he'll still be on the back nine during the morning Golf Channel coverage. He'll be done before the CBS coverage starts, though. He's playing with Brian Davis so keep a lookout.

UPDATE (Saturday afternoon): Jerry and Brian finished their round at 1:20. If they started on time, that's 18 holes in less than 4 hours. That's really fast. Anyway, Jerry's 2nd shot on 18 landed 3 feet from the hole, but did they show it? No, they showed Brian's 2nd shot which hit the flagstick and landed 7 feet from the hole. They showed Brian's birdie attempt, and even though Jerry would, in fact, birdie the hole, we only saw him in the background. Oh well. He shot a respectable 2 under par so let's hope he plays well tomorrow.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

59,000 hits! Wow! There sure must be a lot of Jerry fans out there. Well, I've got some good news for you.

Jerry is playing in the US Open this weekend. I didn't realize that he had to play in one of the qualifying tournaments last week, but he shot two rounds of 67 and tied for 2nd place at the Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tennessee on 6/3 so he's in the field!

The broadcast is on ESPN from 10 to 3, NBC from 3 to 5, and back on ESPN from 5 to 7 on Thursday and Friday. Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 7:50 so we might get to see him on the morning ESPN coverage. His tee time on Friday is probably going to be around 1:30 (I'm guessing). He's playing with Charlie Hoffman and John Huh to keep a lookout!

If he makes the cut to play the weekend, the coverage is on NBC from 1:30 to 7:30 Saturday and Sunday.

UPDATE, Friday 6/14: OMG! I hope you were all watching yesterday. Jerry was 2 under par through 17, tied for the lead (until Phil Mickelson birdied his last hole to get to -3). They showed him several times on the morning (ESPN) coverage, including his birdie putt on the 13th to get to -1 and the front page of the leaderboard. On the NBC coverage in the afternoon, they showed his birdie on 15 (when he tied for the lead). They also showed his miraculous par saves on 16 and 17, as well as several of his tee and approach shots, and he's smiling again!

He would hit it in the rough and double bogey the 18th, however, to drop to even par.

At this point (Friday morning) there's only 4 players under par, and Jerry is only 3 behind the leaders, so there's a good chance we'll see lots of Jerry in this afternoon's coverage. Because of the rain delays, his tee time is not until 4:51, but keep a lookout! Go Jerry!!!

http://media.zenfs.com/en_us/News/gettyimages.com/u-open-round-one-20130613-210312-022.jpg

UPDATE, Saturday night: Well, we got to see a little of Jerry yesterday. We saw his birdies on 12 and 4 (he started on the back nine) and a few other shots and putts. At least we got to see him smile again, and the announcers had kinds words to say about his playing and his demeanor. Because of the weather delays, he didn't finish round two (because of darkness) until this morning. He reached 2 over par, only 3 shots off the lead, but dropped 1 more shot before finishing his round tied for 12th. He was in the 6th to last grounp today, right in front of Tiger Woods' group, but shot 5 over, ending at 8 over, and got no TV coverage. Still, there's a lot of really good golfers that didn't make the cut to play the weekend, and he's tied for 25th out of a field of 73, so he deserves some kudos. His tee time tomorrow is 1:08 and he's playing with Jason Dufner. Go Jerry!

http://postmediacanadadotcom.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/us_open_golf_27339805.jpg

UPDATE, Monday 6/17: Well, we got to see a couple of Jerry's shots on Sunday's final round, but mostly all we saw was him in the background of Jason Dufner's (his playing partner's) shots. He was even par on the front nine, but 6 over on the back nine, ending tied for 41st. This is no small achievement. This is a major golf tournament, and lots of big names did not make the cut or shot much worse than Jerry did. It's a really hard course! He's in the field for this week's Travelers Championship in Hartford, Connecticut (where he went to college). Keep those fingers crossed.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Here's the skinny on the Travelers Championship this weekend:

The broadcast is on The Golf Channel from 3 to 6 on Thursday and Friday, and from 1 to 2:30 on The Golf Channel and 3 to 6 on CBS on Saturday and Sunday. Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 8 so he'll finish before the broadcast starts. His tee time on Friday is 1:10, however, so set those TiVos! Go Jerry!

UPDATE, Monday 6/24: Jerry shot 3 under on Thursday and was another 3 under through 17 on Friday. We saw his pars on 16 and 17 to stay 6 under (and to get to the front page of the leaderboard) but he would bogie the 18th to end at -5. He shot 1 over on Saturday and even par on Sunday to end tied for 24th. He got no TV coverage on the weekend. He's climbed to 72nd in FedEx cup points, though, which is a good thing. He's not in the field for the AT&T National this weekend, but I will update this post as soon as he plays again.

It's worth noting, though, that the winner was 44-year-old Ken Duke. There's still hope for "grizzled veterans"!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Dear Jerry Fans,

I'm sorry I don't have much to report at this time, except for the fact that we quietly passed 60,000 hits about a week ago, and will hit 60,700 hits sometime today. That's almost 100 hits/day for the past several months. It's amazing to me that there are so many Jerry fans out there.

Jerry did not play in the AT&T last weekend and is not in the field for the Greenbriar this weekend, even though he did play in that tournament last year and was tied for 1st at the end of his 2nd round. He finished tied for 12th and got a $120k paycheck, though! I sure hope that he's ok, health-wise. That would be the most obvious reason he's not playing, but I hope I'm wrong. I've scoured the internet for news but have come up empty.

They haven't yet posted the field for the John Deere Classic next weekend, but he played in that tournament last year so keep your fingers crossed.

UPDATE, Tuesday 7/2: I wonder if Jerry is skipping the Greenbriar this weekend to attend the Americas Cup in San Francisco. Could be!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

The John Deere Classic is on The Golf Channel on Thursday and Friday from 3 to 6. Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 2:05. His tee time on Friday is very early so he will finish all 18 holes before 3.

If he makes the cut and plays the weekend, the coverage is on The Golf channel from 1 to 2:30, and on CBS from 3 to 6.

UPDATE, Thursday evening: Jerry shot 4 birdies during the broadcast, but they didn't show a single one. We only got one small glimpse of him in the background of Gary Woodland's birdie on 16. He's currently at 3 under, tied for 26th, which isn't bad at all. He'll finish tomorrow's round before the broadcast even starts, but is certainly in a good position to play the weekend.

UPDATE, Friday 1:40 pm: Jerry just finished his round. He had an eagle and 5 birdies! A 7-under-par 64, only 1 shot off the low score of the day! He's at 10 under par, tied for 3rd!! Unfortunately, the broadcast hasn't started yet, but maybe he'll be featured in highlights from earlier in the day. At least he'll be around to play the weekend.

Go Jerry!!!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Only 1 shot off the lead! Just one more birdie (over those 4 days) and he would have been in a 4-may playoff on Sunday. I hope all you Jerry fans saw that. He was within one shot of the lead several times and solo second twice. He got a lot of TV coverage on Saturday and Sunday. Here's the best. Video of his birdie on 10:

There's also other video highlights and interviews of Jerry there. He got another big paycheck and moved up 10 FedEx points. Go Jerry!!!

Jerry didn't qualify for The British Open this weekend, but will be playing in the Sanderson Farms Championship on The Golf Channel Thursday through Sunday.

UPDATE, Thursday 7/18: Well, Jerry isn't playing in the Sanderson Farms Championship after all. I don't know why. One website simply said that his name was removed. I'm thinking that he may just be resting up for the FedEx playoffs which begin with The Barclays on 8/22, but there's several more tournaments before then, including tournaments that Jerry has played in the past, so stay tuned.

Oh, and we just passed 62,000 hits! wink

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

In honor of our 66,000th hit, here's an update for all Jerry fans.

Jerry did play in the Wyndham Championship this weekend. He made it to 3 under during Friday's round, but was never close enough to the leaders to get any TV coverage for the entire 4 days. He finished at -2, tied for 45th. It was a very respectable showing. A lot of really good players didn't even make the cut.

The good news is that he's currently 79th in FedEx Cup points, so he will be playing in the Barclays this weekend and the Deutsche Bank the following weekend. He has to get within the top 70 to make it to the BMW, and the top 30 to make it to the final Tour Championship.

Unlike last year, where Jerry finished outside the top 125 on the money list (by just a couple thousand dollars at 126th) and had to use his 1-time career earnings exemption to play this year, they've changed the rules. By being in the top 125 in FedEx Cup points (not money) he gets to keep his card next year.

Stay tuned, and go Jerry!!

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

OMG! 67,245 hits! I wish I had better news and some more recent photos, but I do have an update.

Because of the weather delays at The Barclays last weekend, Jerry didn't finish his round until Saturday morning, but he missed the cut by one stroke. He did not play the weekend and did not get any TV coverage. He's still 87th in FedEx cup points, though, so he will be playing in the Deutsche Bank this weekend. This is a Friday to Monday tournament because of the Labor Day holiday. The coverage is on The Golf Channel from 3 to 6 on Friday and Saturday.

Jerry's tee time on Friday is really early so he'll finish before the broadcast starts, but his tee time on Saturday is 1:34. He's playing with Stewart Cink and Bob Estes so keep a lookout. If he makes the cut the play the weekend, the coverage is 1 to 3 on The Golf Channel and 3 to 6 on NBC.

Jerry needs to play well enough to make it into the top 70 in FedEx points to qualify for the BMW Championship, so keep your fingers crossed.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Jerry shot 6 under par at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He climbed to 85th in FedEx Cup points, but that was the end of his season. He did not qualify for the BMW or the final Tour Championship.

For the 2nd year in a row, however, he ranked #1 in driving accuracy!

There is no more "Fall Season" like previous years. The new 2013-2014 season begins this weekend with the Frys.com Open in California. Jerry is in the field. It's on The Golf Channel from 5 to 8 (EDT) Thursday through Sunday. I'll update this post with tee times when they're available.

UPDATE, Wednesday 10/8: Jerry's tee time on Thursday (tomorrow) is 3:40 (EDT) so you may be able to catch the end of his round. His tee time on Friday is 11:00 so he'll probably finish before the broadcast even begins. He's playing with Will MacKenzie and William McGirt.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Dear Jerry Fans,

In honor of our 73,000th hit, here's an update for you.

Jerry did not play in the Shriner's tournament in Las Vegas last week, but he is in the field for the CIMB Classic this weekend in Malaysia. This is going to be a bit confusing, because Malaysia is 18 hours ahead of EDT. The broadcast will be on The Golf Channel Wednesday through Saturday from 11pm to 3am.

Jerry's tee time on Thursday is 7:30am local time, which would be 1:30am (Wednesday night/Thursday morning) if my math is correct. His tee time on Friday is an hour later, so we might catch him at the end of both broadcasts and, if he makes the cut, the weekend as well.

Cross your fingers!

UPDATE: Sorry! I did have my math wrong. 7:30 am in Malaysia is 7:30 pm EDT. That means he will already be on the course when the broadcasts begin.

Re: Jerry Kelly (golfer)

Jerry shot a 6-under 66 in round three of the CIMB Classic to get to 10 under par, just 2 shots off the lead of *dreamy* Ryan Moore!!!

He's in the second to last group today. His tee time is 9:35 pm (EDT) and the broadcast starts at 11. I would set those TiVo's to record "Golf Central" (pre-game show) that starts at 10:30, and also the Champions tournament that starts at 3 am, just in case the tournament runs over the allotted time.

This could be Jerry's day. Go Jerry!!!
