R.I.P Heath Ledger 1979-2008

Heath LedgerThis is totally a shocker for me. What is going on with the world these days? First Brad Renfro, which was not exactly surprising but Heath Ledger? HEATH LEDGER. In the same month? I need to sit down.So many gorgeous hotties dropping like flies these days it’s beyond ridiculous. He was 28. Twenty freakin’ eight. And so much more beautiful things ahead for him. This has to stop! Guys, stay off those pills please…Discuss it in the forum here.

This is a total shock to me too! I loved Brad Renfro and I loved Heath Ledger. They were both phenominal actors and were taken from us way too soon! What is the world coming to when two great actors like they were, are being taken from us? I just can’t make any sense of it! I wasn’t going to, but I will definitely make a point of it to go see “the dark knight” this summer. :(( :o

:(( I’ll never watch a Batman movie with the same emotion ever again! :(

The one bright spot in this is he at least passed on his genes…

That said, this is a serious tragedy. :(

  4. Squarehippies on January 23rd, 2008

    Yeah THANK GOD for that.

i didnt believe it when i first heard… but now, seeing everything on tv and reading it all online, i guess its true… such an amazing talent snuffed out before the world had gotten enough. he will be sorely missed! :(

I know it sounds silly, but it reminds us again that money does not buy one man happiness.

Too many deep things I want to say, so I’ll stick to something shallow: God I almost hope there’s no Oscars ceremony this year, because this year’s death montage, I will not be able to handle it. If they show Brad Renfro walking away with Joseph Mazello on his shoulders, or Heath hugging that shirt –

  9. Squarehippies on January 23rd, 2008

Wow jay… I never thought of that but it’s so true… But I’m sure there will be at least a minute tribute montage to Brad and Heath… :-s

Why do we need one for Brad we knew he was going to have a short life

    NOW HEATH I speechless!

I really thought he would outlive me and the why Heath died is more tragic

    RIP Heath

A true Knight to the end!

My friend told me these bad news 6hours ago and i answered her ”Are you crazy?I can’t believe this”….Then i read it in many sites….It was true and i was felt so sad!!! :((

I’d hate to say it but you know how they say things like this happen in 3’s. Renfro, Ledger, and ?????

  13. Bailey on January 24th, 2008

this is awful. he was phenomenal in Brokeback Mountain, and he could go on to do greater things. I feel so bad for his 2 year old daughter. He went to soon.

^^ things do happen in threes and that very scary. lets just hope they don’t. this month is almost over! hopefully Britney will be the only person in the news for now. =/

    R.I.P HEATH LEDGER!

Brad Renfro, heath Ledger, and Suzzane Plashette…

  15. Chris on January 24th, 2008

:(( We should be sad and mourning both actors, whether or not anyone thinks or believes either of their lives would be cut short by tragedy. As good as it may be that they both had a child, those children will never know their fathers, and no child deserves to grow up without their fathers! As far as the Oscars go, they should just cancel them this year and instead just mourn all who have died and let the work stand for themselves! Brad Renfro, Heath Ledger, both your talents will be sorely missed!!!

What a loss and a loss for words as well. It was really a shock.
I have to totally agree with Jay’s comment.

While I’m sure that Heath Ledger, Brad Renfro, or even Suzanne Pleshette wouldn’t want their deaths to over-shadow any awards show, it’s not about how an awards show is affected. But how the impact of death affects us all, & the seemingly unfillable hole that death leaves in us.
I’ve been a fan of Heath’s since I saw him in the tv series, “Roar”, back in ‘99.
It’s hard to believe that was not even 10 years ago. I feel priviledged to have seen almost all the body of work Heath left behind. I feel sad that we’ll never get to see what he would have ulitimately capable of. I feel angry that he was taken from us all too soon. I feel great sorrow for his family & friends, who, like the rest of us were so totally caught off-guard by this tradgedy.
Be at peace, Heath. You’ll be sorely missed.

I’ve paid little or no attention to many of the young actors in the last decade because they all seemed to be alike, and/or very limited talentwise. There have been very few amazingly gifted exceptions and Ledger earned his place among them with his phemonenal performance in “Brokeback Mountain.” He simply blew me away.

It’s hard to fathom the personal loss his family and friends are enduring, not to mention professional loss to the acting community and his fans.

Someone in the forums mentioned something about a short film from Brokeback Mountain. Not mine, just found. Made a couple years ago apparently.

Crap, everytime I see a BM clip, my eyes got all watery (especially now)…

  21. Rickg on January 25th, 2008

My heart froze when I saw the report. This guy had a bright future ahead. Such talent. But, the demands of Hollywood claims another life. My heart goes out to his family. Such a loss………..

  22. Jon on January 26th, 2008

I felt the bottom drop out of my stomach when I heard about this. RIP Heath, we will really miss you.

oh my gosh he was young and he has a lot of things to do but not anymore.
sometimes we don’t know why but we can pray 4 him

  24. KarmaLysing on January 26th, 2008

It is looking increasingly likely he accidentally mixed the wrong prescription drugs. It’s sad enough when different doctors prescribe the elderly a host of drugs with possibly deadly interactions, and without even attempting to find out what else they might be taking. It’s tragic when it happens to someone as young as this…

  25. Squarehippies on January 26th, 2008

If that’s true, Heath’s death will be one of the most tragic in Hollywood history. I don’t think we’ll ever find someone as young and talented as him in the near future.

    R.I.P Heath Ledger

  27. Mdriana on February 22nd, 2008

I have NO words to describe what his death makes me feel. I never feel anything big rearding the death of someone I didn’t know; but the point is that Heath Ledger’s death really makes me feel very, extremely sad in so many ways. He was such a great actor. An Artist, Capital “A”. I believe, no, I’m sure, this goes further from a “celebritiy’s death”. He was an amazing actor and I will never forget him. I feel pain watching his films now. I haven’t gotten over it yet. Rest In Peace a born Legen.

  28. Melissa on February 23rd, 2008

I can’t express all the sorrow I feel regarding Heath Ledger’s death. Yes, he was extremely handsome and sexy, but he was also one of the finest actors in the world. It’s such a pity. I can’t stand watching his films yet. He was someone who really transpired talent and, yes, sexiness. I can only compare his tragic death to James Dean’s. Actors like Heath Ledger are ONE in a million. Rest In Peace. I will love him forever.
