Something Really Exciting

Okay, it’s not that exciting but you know me, I tend to exaggerate stuff. You might have noticed that big blue gravatar icons next to your comments. Some people already have their gravatars done so that’s great. For those who don’t have one yet, here’s a few very simple steps on how you can upload your own delicious avatar:

1. Go to Gravatar.com

2. Register with your email. For people who have already registered as a user on Squarehippies.com, remember to use the SAME email you’ve used when you registered at this website. This way all of your previous posts will be displayed with your new avatar as well.

3. Once you have registered, follow the instructions there on how to upload your picture. Any size would do as you’ll be able to crop out the image in the next step. You can switch your desired display image over there whenever you like and change will reflect on Squarehippies.com.

4. To make things easier, don’t forget to register yourself at this website as well so you don’t have to fill in your name, email, yada yada each time you make a comment, which is a pain in the butt.

Things I’d do to that man… Anyways, let me know if you’re having troubles okay? Oh and please for the love of Krasinski NO peen shots!!!

    I’m glad to hear that. As for the message just ignore it, if I were to update the site will be down for at least a week. I think.

    I’m beginning to wonder if gravatars are reliable enough. Apparently many people have the same problem as well — images showed up for a while and then disappeared. Hmmm…

    Hmmm Square, did you notice how flakey your date/time stamp is on messages? I don’t use them often, ‘cept to figure out whether it’s worth while commenting on year-old posts.

    From my side of your site, everything is at 9:30 a.m. The date may or may not be accurate. Seemed to happen once gravatar went live.

    Just curious.

    Aaron, thanks so much for the heads up! The timestamp has been fixed and seems to be working at least on my side. Let me know if it still shows 9.30am on yours. The dates are still correct though. Oh and it appears that everyone’s gravatar is now showing so that’s good!

    Square, timestamp is messed up. It’s off by 12 hours. My last post under Eric Mabius-3 says 9:20 p.m. even though I made a comment about my breakfast cereal.

    If it helps, I’m east coast US time. This note should timestamp at 9:25 a.m.

    Just leave it for a while. It takes sometime for the cache to clear out I think.
