Today, we are going old school. I can’t remember when was the last time I’ve suffered for the sake of my readers, so I’ve decided to give my eyeballs some good old fashioned torture and sit my 30 year old ass through “Monte Carlo” on a flight, which was probably my dream film if I’m about 11. Few potentials available for the mandatory skin scene (Cory Monteith, Brett Cullen), but only one has decided to share the hotness with the world by having his shirt off and open throughout – Luke Bracey. I suspect there are tapes involved to make sure the shirt stays open. Luke plays your typical text book version of a hot Ozzie piece, which means the essential blond surfer type. He’s a regular in “Home and Away”, a magical series which has spawned some of the most beautiful men on this face of the earth, including Chris Hemsworth and Ryan Kwanten. Okay, my ass is probably the only one in the interwebs who does a shirtless posting of the movie “Thor” with Josh Dallas in the title. I might be biased because of Josh’s mustache (one of my top 5 weaknesses) and the healthy amount of scruffage on Chris Hemsworth’s face. Something about Josh that is charmingly sexy and having him with a shirt off – well, half off is a very nice surprise indeed. Very Cary Elwes in Princess Bride. I think it’s safe to say that I speak for all of us when I say he should be in more mainstream films and is obligated to de-shirt in every single one of them! The first teaser trailer for “Thor” has been released, and I must say — Chris Hemsworth does look like a proper blond Norwegian god. Almost, because a proper Norse God should have perfectly conditioned soft platinum wavy hair (and blond chest fur, but I’m a little fuzzy on this). Apart from flat packed furniture, I’m sure for most of you the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about anything Scandinavian is Alexander Skarsgaad, but I think Chris is doing just fine here (and here if you’re feeling adventurous). If anything, the director Kenneth Branagh fits the role better! From that little 3 second glimpse in the trailer, it looks like the scene has at least a good 3 minutes showcasing Chris’s physique. Next year seems to be full of shaved superheroes and before you shoot me, I’m aware of the fact that Chris is naturally smooth). I’m beyond complaining at this point so just watch the trailer, after the jump. (more…)
